City of Steam will be a Free to play, Browser-Based, Role Playing MMO Game set in an industrial world.

Yes, we’ve now gotten the alpha dates down to 3 weekends, starting on July 20th - 22nd, then on to July 27th – 29th, and finally August 3rd – 5th. If you’re not already signed up to the Newsletter, best do that now to get a chance at joining in!
So, why separate it into weekends? It’s sort of a capacity and game setup thing, really. For one, it’s likely that different people will be participating in different weekends, to make sure that everyone with a key gets a chance at playing. We also need to test out how much our server can take, so throwing everyone in at once might be good for getting data results, but bad for players if it doesn’t actually work out. A more gradual approach should work best here. Furthermore, between test dates, we’ll be using different game setups to test different things."
